Welcome to the Special Collies Girls
Page, featuring our Matriarchs and their offspring. Although different in type
to each other, we have combined their particular strengths to create our line.
They have given us thrilling show wins, loving companionship and
beautiful babies.
I proudly introduce you to Jewel, Jazz
and Sadie:
Ch. Special Jewel O'Th'North, n/e
1995-2005
(Nairne's Flame N'Fields of Sno,n/e ex
Ch. North Country Gemstone)
bred by Laura LaBounty and Judy
Griffith Gilland
"Jewel"
was made possible by leasing her dam "Jenny" from my best friend, Judy
Griffith Gilland of North Country Collies. I knew "Jewel" was something
special the second her mother delivered her. She grew into a gorgeous adult,
turning heads and winning lots of cool prizes. She's also the most obstinate,
moody bitch, I've ever shared my home with. ALL the food is her food. She
shows when she feels like it. The younger dogs live in fear of her, while the
cats adore her. She's the first dog I ever had de-barked, which didn't help
much, as she loudly voices her opinion on everything from falling leaves, to
planes flying overhead. Jewel is the dam of Ch.Special Holy Cow, Ch.Special Gracie's For Me, Ch.Special Pride N' Prejudice,
Ch.Special Ruby Rosewood, Ch. Special Sharp-Dressed Man and Special Wee Lass O'
Storybook CD, HT, RE, MX.

show, preferring the couch to anywhere else. "Jazz" is the dam of 6 champions: Ch.Special Lunar
Eclipse, Ch.Special Quest For Camelot, Ch.Special Storybook Romance,
Ch.Special Northern Lights, Ch.North Country Special Expose` and

Windrew's Wisper'n Sweet
Glory
(Xanadu
Glory Days x Revelation Blacklace Affair)
January
4, 1994 - April 1, 2003
"Sadie" had a long and winding road toward her championship. After 2 CCA class placements, a Group 3,
and several major reserves, she had to have an emergency spay due to
pyometria and never finished. Sadly, Sadie passed away recently at the age
of nine.
"Sadie"
is the dam of 4 champions from one litter: Ch.Special North Wind,
Ch.Special Pretty Woman, Ch.Special RachLen's Dreamcatcher and Ch.North Country Special Delivery. "Sadie" is a grandaughter of Ch. Perry's Sundather Tradition
and
Ch. Napier's Black Tie Affair.
